Priority Registration for the 2010-11 school year begins this week! · Priority Registration is open to all currently enrolled families. This includes registration of siblings of currently enrolled students, even if the currently enrolled student will not be back next year. · Registration forms will be sent home with your child this week (or left with the teachers for you to pick up at will, in the case of the older classes). If you need more than one, stop by the office. · Priority Registration will go through February 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Whether you turn the form in now or in a couple of weeks will not affect your child’s placement. Just be sure to get it in by 2/2/10.· Remember to include the registration fee with the registration form. · Full Day children DO need to submit a new registration form and registration fee. Check your child’s folder this week for the form.
January 14, 2009 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. plan to attend Literacy: Learning through Unstructured Play, a parent education forum with Carolyn Walker. This is an adults-only event, and is free and open to the public.
Inclement weather reminder…In the case of inclement weather, you can learn whether ODS is open in two ways. · You may call the school and wait for the voicemail to pick up. When ODS is closed due to weather conditions, this will be stated in our outgoing message.· You may check the local news stations to learn if Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools is closed. If CMS is closed due to weather, Open Door will automatically close as well.
